He shared his concerns during an appearance on NBC Sports Boston, where he elaborated on his worries about Smith-Schuster‘s ability to endure the physical demands of the game.

Albert Breer emphasized that, due to this situation, the Patriots may need to include an extra wide receiver on their roster.
“JuJu Smith-Schuster‘s knee is a mess,” Breer noted.
“That thing could explode at any point.”
Smith-Schuster spent five years with the Pittsburgh Steelers and a single year with the Chiefs before he joined the Patriots.
His standout season came in 2018, when he recorded an impressive 1,426 receiving yards with 111 catches.
He played a significant role for the Chiefs in their Super Bowl victory last season, ranking second on the team in receiving yards, behind only Travis Kelce.
